AES, New York. - October 4th, 2007 - CEntrance, a leader in professional
audio technology, announced today that it has joined Texas Instruments
Incorporated's (TI) digital signal processor (DSP) Third Party Network.
CEntrance's rapid product development expertise combined with TI's extensive
selection of chips for audio and entertainment products creates a global
support solution for consumer electronics OEMs and makes CEntrance hardware,
firmware and driver expertise immediately available to TI's customers.
For years a technology supplier to famous audio and consumer electronics
brands, CEntrance is ideally positioned to be a part of TI's DSP Third
Party Network. The third party network gives CEntrance a more active role
in supporting TI's clients with custom hardware, software and drivers,
including solutions for computer audio and portable audio.
Recently, CEntrance licensed its professional quality, driverless 24-bit
/ 96-kHz USB solution based on TI's TAS1020 chip to such audiophile brands
as Benchmark Media, and Empirical Audio.
CEntrance is an expert in analog technology and digital connectivity solutions,
including USB, FireWire, PCI-E and Ethernet interfaces. CEntrance drivers
feature the highest stability and industry's lowest latency. They are
routinely used in live sound production, which is a mission-critical application
previously impossible on PCs for stability reasons.
"This collaboration opens the door for more customers to enjoy our
audio solutions on the stage and at home, and moves us closer to our goal
of increasing innovation in audio entertainment." said Michael Goodman,
Managing Director of CEntrance. "TI's product portfolio fuels this
innovation and we are proud to be working with such industry leader."
"CEntrance developed a strong consulting brand in audio electronics,
which makes the work between TI and CEntrance a win-win," said Claus
Neesgaard, marketing and applications manager of the Mixed Signal Audio/Video
group, TI. "Our semiconductor solutions combined with CEntrance's
intuitive knowledge of operating systems and rapid product development
expertise will improve time-to-market for our customers, creating value
for everyone involved."
