Chicago, IL - APRIL 20, 2006 - CEntrance, a leader in professional audio
technology, today released their "Universal Driver" for FireWire
audio interfaces. The Windows audio software features unique technology
that enables consumers to combine FireWire audio interfaces from various
manufacturers into one, feature-rich audio system. Formerly incompatible
audio devices can now record and play together in one studio setup.
The CEntrance Universal ASIO Driver's unique technology features multi-host
and multi-device capability. Project studio owners and musicians are now
able to record and play audio using multiple devices with one music software
application, or multiple applications with one interface- a level of flexibility
previously unavailable under Microsoft Windows operating systems. The
CEntrance Universal Driver is ASIO compatible, features low-latency audio
performance and supports 44.1 through 192kHz at 24-bit resolution. The
product is offered for sale directly to consumers from the CEntrance website
at $79.95US.
"We've worked very hard on the release of this first version of the
Universal Driver so that it supports several of the most popular FireWire
audio interfaces," said Michael Goodman, Managing Director of CEntrance.
"We have tremendous industry support and plan to update the software
regularly, adding new audio devices to truly create a simplified environment
for the Windows audio and MIDI software user."
The CEntrance Universal Driver features easy installation and robust performance
while maintaining low latency for easier recording and monitoring. CEntrance
developed the software to be compatible with the majority of commercially
available audio hardware, including Apogee, Behringer, Focusrite, Mackie,
M-Audio, Miglia and Presonus, and most ASIO host audio software applications.
Support for other audio interfaces is constantly added. Please check the
company's website for an up-to date list of hardware and software compatibility:
